How to Use Bayni 📱

A complete guide for buyers, sellers, and community members
1
Getting Started
1

Download & Open

Download Bayni from the App Store. Open the app — you'll see the Welcome screen with sign-in options.

2

Choose your preferred method: Sign in with Apple (recommended for iOS), Continue with Google, or Continue with Email (OTP code sent to your inbox).

✓ No password needed for Email — just enter your email and the 6-digit code
3

Allow Location

Tap Allow While Using App when prompted. Bayni uses your location to show listings near you. Your exact GPS coordinates are never shared — only your barangay and city name appear to others.

4

Browse the Onboarding Slides

Four quick slides explain the core features. Tap through them to learn about the app, AI safety tools, community board, and how to sell.

ℹ️ First time? Set up your profile

Go to Profile → Edit Profile to add a display name and photo. A complete profile builds trust with buyers and sellers and improves your Suki Score visibility.

Buying Items
1

Browse the Home Feed

The home screen shows listings within your set radius (default: 10 km). Scroll to discover items. Tap the filter icon to sort by category, price, or condition.

2

Check the AI Safety Indicators

Each listing detail page shows an AI fraud risk score. If the score is 30 or higher, a ⚠️ warning banner appears. This doesn't confirm a scam — it means you should proceed with extra caution.

3

Contact the Seller

Tap Chat Now to open a private conversation with the seller. Agree on a meetup location and time before proceeding.

4

Meet in Person & Inspect

Always meet at a public place. Inspect the item thoroughly before handing over payment. Pay in cash. Bayni does not process or facilitate payments after confirming the item is as described.

5

Save to Favorites

Tap the ♡ icon on any listing to save it. Access saved items under Profile → Favorites.

⚠️ Safety Rules — Never Break These

• Never send digital wallets or bank transfer before seeing the item in person
• Never share your bank account details in chat
• If a price seems too good to be true, it probably is
• Meet at police stations, malls, or busy cafés — never at home

Selling Items
1

Tap the + Button

On the home screen, tap the central (Sell) tab to open the listing form.

2

Fill in Item Details

Enter: Title (be specific), Description (mention defects honestly), Price, Condition (New / Like New / Good / Fair / Poor), Category.

3

Add Photos

Upload up to 5 photos. Good lighting and multiple angles increase your chances of selling. Use the camera icon to shoot directly or pick from your gallery.

✓ Clear photos = faster sales
4

Use AI Price Finder (Optional)

Not sure about pricing? Tap Check AI Price to get a suggested market price range based on your item's category and description.

5

Submit

Tap Post Listing. Your listing will be reviewed by the AI moderation system and go live within seconds. You'll receive a notification when it's approved.

6

Boost Your Listing (Free)

Go to Profile → My Listings, tap ⚡ Boost on any listing. It will appear at the top of nearby search results for 7 days — completely free.

7

Mark as Sold

Once sold, tap ••• on the listing → Mark as Sold. This removes it from active search and updates your sales history.

💡 Seller Tips

• Honest descriptions reduce disputes

Safety Features
What does the AI fraud score mean?
Every listing is automatically analyzed for fraud signals — unusual pricing, scam keywords, new accounts posting high-value items. A score of 0–29 is low risk. 30–69 is moderate (proceed with caution). 70+ is high risk — consider reporting the listing.
How do I report a suspicious listing?
On the listing detail page, scroll to the bottom and tap 🚩 Report this listing. Select the reason and submit. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
How do I report a user?
Visit the seller's profile page and tap the Report button at the top right. You can report for harassment, scam behavior, or policy violations.
I was scammed. What do I do?
1. Contact us immediately at support@bayni.app 2. File a report with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group at acg.pnp.gov.ph 3. Call the PNP hotline: 117 4. Keep all chat records and transaction evidence
