Bayni (Bayan + Niyo — "Our Community's") is the Philippines' neighborhood trading app, designed with AI fraud detection — a GPS-powered iOS app where Filipinos buy and sell pre-loved items with neighbors, backed by real-time AI fraud detection and a community trust system.
Launched in May 2026, Bayni addresses the Philippines' growing online scam epidemic — over 12,000 online selling fraud reports filed with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group in 2023 alone — by building AI-powered safety infrastructure directly into every transaction on the platform.
Unlike Facebook Marketplace (which has no dedicated fraud protection) or Carousell (which lacks true GPS discovery), Bayni was designed from the ground up for the Filipino neighborhood trading experience.
